To Be A Pilgrim - St James Way Teambuilding Walk

He who would valiant be
‘gainst all disaster,
let him in constancy
follow the Master.
There’s no discouragement
shall make him once relent
his first avowed intent
to be a pilgrim!

The words of John Bunyan who wrote the 19th century hymn are the inspiration for a unique team activity in Madrid – The St James Way or in Spanish the “Camino de Santiago”.

The medieval pilgrimage to the tomb of Santiago de Compostela has many routes – over the Pyrenees from France, across the Portugese border or even across the sea from England and lets not forget that Madrid has its own – that starts in the church of his name in the street of his name.

This now invites your team to complete its own pilgrimage to the patron saint of Spain.

Of course its not so easy walking the 600 kms to his tomb but we will light the way for a unique teambuilding urban activity that allows for an insight into the pilgrimage as well as a gymkana for teams to find and follow the scallop and be the first to arrive to complete the Madrid leg.
